Managing Partner

Jack Fitzsimmons is the grandson of the legendary Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons, known in his time as the “Dean of American Trainers.”  Jack has been exposed to all aspects of the sport of thoroughbred racing.

As a youngster, he went to the New York tracks with his father, who served as business manager of Sunny Jim’s stable.  In college, he worked summers at Saratoga Racetrack – driving tractors between races and painting barns and fences.  While in the Army, stationed in Seattle, Washington, he worked cashing tickets at Longacres Racetrack, which ran twilight races.  Attending law school, he worked at Bowie, Pimlico, and Laurel as a security guard and usher.  In the late 60’s, he took out his trainer’s license after spending many years as a hot walker, groom, and in other learning positions.  He held his license for over 25 years, during which he won races at Bowie, Pimlico, Laurel, Atlantic City, Delaware, Penn National, PARX, and Charlestown.

He has served as Managing Partner since founding the partnership in 2012.
